Windows 8.1 upgrade - update info not rumors (NEW) link added

If you have x86 Windows 8 and if you upgrade to the pre-release editions 
of 8.1 then if you upgrade to Release Edition of 8.1
you will have to reinstall all your apps....
There was not mention of x64, but so far every body has recommended (DO 
NOT UPGRADE YOUR CURRENT WINDOWS 8 TO ANY PRE-RELEASE EDITION) when the 
final RTM Release in Aug or Sept come outs... you have to Re-Install all 
Apps, one even said Office also.

If you wait until the Official Release is a STORE you do upgrade from 
Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 RTM all things upgrade properly.

Now this is only a RUMOR or GOSSIP I have seen on the WWW... not 
official from M$...
