Sharpness is very good but not great throughout the range, with f/8 
being the point of maximum sharpness on my sample pretty much across the 
entire focal length range. Even at f/3.5 (or 5.6 at the tele end) in the 
corners this lens remains a fair performer--slightly better than you'd 
expect for the price.
