Is not a case of why you would want to change back.. is more that if you upgrade & encounter problems, you are shafted. The benefits are that bootloaders are increasingly being tweaked, providing better support to things such as SDHC's. There are a few releases supporting 4GB SDHC, from 5.5012 up ( 012, 015, 020 & 022 ).
