DTS-ES is DTS-5.1 plus some additional features, and DTS 96/24 is DTS-ES 
plus even more additional features. All of these take up the same bandwidth, 
meaning putting the same stress on the link to your receiver. Because of 
that I'd recommend to set XBMC audio to the highest supported feature level, 
which is DTS96/24 in your case.
